At Brighton & Hove Montessori School we realise that life doesn't always fit in with school term dates. Therefore we accept children into the school at any point in the year, as and when we have places.
The following is a brief overview of the admissions process for our school but we recommend that you read our admissions procedure in full which can be downloaded here.
[ For the purposes of sensible English, please note that 'parent' includes whoever has parental responsibility for the child.]
Parents are welcome at any of our regular open afternoons or evenings for an introductory talk and question and answer session. Following return of a registration form and fee parents will either be sent an offer letter and further forms to complete, or your child will be added to our waiting list if no places are available.
To accept a place parents must return the forms sent to them and pay the deposit. Following this we will contact you to arrange visits and a starting date.
Initially we like parents to visit the school without their child(ren) to observe a class and get a picture of how Montessori works (for about 20 minutes). At this time the class director (teacher) will arrange to meet with parents and child for a discussion outside school hours. We then organise a half hour visit for the child to be in their new class and meet everyone there.
