Securing a place for your child at the Brighton & Hove Montessori School
Come to an open event – meet the teachers and see the school in action. Once you have decided you would like your child to attend the Brighton & Hove Montessori School, we would like you to complete a Registration Form and return it together with a registration fee of £50 to enter your child on our waiting list.
Priority for children over 4 years old may be given to children who have previously been in Montessori education, but otherwise admission is non-selective and places will be offered in order of application. We suggest that you put your child’s name on the waiting list at least a year ahead to be sure of securing a place.
As you near the top of the waiting list, we will contact you to offer you the place and send an admission pack. Once you have completed and returned the admission forms and the deposit together with the first term’s fees, your child’s place and start date will be confirmed.
We accept children into our afternoon “Mini Monte” group from age 2.
Once your child is aged 3, we welcome them into the school every morning. We particularly stipulate this core attendance because Montessori education for individual children comes about within the context of a secure and loving community which occurs every morning and which needs participation of all the children.
Extended school days from 9 – 3 are available for children over 3 years and by the age of 5 years the children are expected to attend full time.
